Sakura II

An etched/dry-point print I did for my printmaking class. One in a set of three. These three were are a lot prettier when you look at it in person. I was so proud of them. I wished they could've gone in my deviations gallery, however, they scanned horribly so in the scraps they go.

For this one, I wanted a traditional Japanese art feel. Ironically, I used Chinese paper for it. It's really neat, though. It's woven so it gave it a nice texture. The strange fade from dark to light was unintentional. I think the person who used the press before me recallibrated both sides to be different pressures. Oh well, I think it looks interesting.


**Edit: The more I look at this, the more I liked it and saw that there's nothing really wrong with it. Out of the three, I think this one came out best. So I moved it to my gallery! ^^
